What letters does this GPA calculator use?
A simple 4.0 letter scale only. A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, and F = 0. You can type the letter in any case; the page shows it as A, B, C, D, or F. Anything else, including a blank grade, is rejected.
Estimate a grade point average from letter grades and credits on a simple 4.0 scale. A is 4, B is 3, C is 2, D is 1, and F is 0. Letters are not case-sensitive. Each course needs a letter and credits greater than 0, including fractional credits such as 1.5. GPA is the sum of points times credits, divided by the sum of credits. Each displayed figure is rounded half-up to two decimals from the exact total, not from a rounded course. This is a study estimate only, not an official transcript. There is no plus or minus, no 5.0 scale, and no weighted versus unweighted toggle.

An A for 3 credits and a B for 3 credits. Quality points are 4 × 3 = 12 and 3 × 3 = 9, so the exact total is 21. Credits are 3 + 3 = 6. GPA is 21 ÷ 6 = 3.5, which displays as 3.50. Total quality points display as 21.00 and total credits as 6.00. This is a study estimate only, not an official transcript.
GPA = sum(points × credits) / sum(credits). A = 4, B = 3, C = 2, D = 1, F = 0. Quality points for a course = points × credits, exact. Total quality points = sum of those exact products. Displayed GPA, total quality points, and total credits are each round2 of the matching exact figure (half-up to 2 decimals). Do not round a course into the sum. round2 is the same helper as concrete round2 and discount roundMoney.
Estimates are for planning materials only. Check the paint label for actual coverage and buy enough for touch-ups.

Each course adds points times credits to the quality-point total, and adds its credits to the credit total. GPA is the quality-point total divided by the credit total. A course with more credits pulls the average more than a course with fewer credits. An A for 4 credits (16 quality points) and a C for 2 credits (4 quality points) is 20 ÷ 6, not a plain average of 4 and 2.
An A for 4 credits and a C for 2 credits is 16 + 4 = 20 quality points and 6 credits. 20 ÷ 6 is 3.333…, which rounds half-up to two decimals as 3.33, not 3.34. The page divides the exact totals and only then rounds. It does not round a course's quality points first and add those rounded figures, and it does not turn 3.333 into 3.34.
No. This tool has no plus or minus grades. A+ and B- are rejected. There is no 5.0 scale, no 100-point scale, and no weighted versus unweighted toggle. There is also no semester versus cumulative toggle. Use A, B, C, D, or F only.
No. This is a study estimate only, not an official transcript. Schools weight grades, honors courses, and repeated classes in different ways. Use your school's own record for an official GPA.
